Dr Chatterjee was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof Eccles laboratory in 2014, and NZICRT Research Fellow in Prof Eccles laboratory from 2015 to 2018. In 2017 he successfully obtained a Rutherford Discovery Fellowship, which he then took up in 2018. The work he carried out in Prof Eccles lab was in the field of cancer genomics/ epigenetics. As NZICRT Postdoctoral Research Fellow he did work to detect aberrant epigenetic changes in melanoma, which was the foundation of successful competitive external Marsden (in 2016) and HRC project (in 2018) funding in Prof Eccles lab.
